The latest trailer for the Game of Thrones spinoff shows a bloody battle. Game of Thrones is a popular fantasy series that has finished its story with its 8th season in 2019. Although the ending drew a lot of criticism, at that time HBO itself immediately announced that they would develop a prequel. Now, it’s only a matter of days until the prequel finally hits the HBO Max streaming channel. Titled House of the Dragon, the series is a Game of Thrones spinoff that tells about the civil war that took place within the Targaryen stronghold.
The series, which is based on the novel Fire & Blood, will take place about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Where Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) must fight for the power of the Seven Kingdoms with her own uncle, Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith). Ahead of the release of the series which will air the day after tomorrow, HBO has just released a trailer titled ‘Fire Will Reign’ which shows footage of the brutal battle in the House of the Dragon series.
Fierce Battles in the Game of Thrones Spinoff
Based on what’s seen in the new trailer, it looks like the inaugural season of House of the Dragon is going to be very lively. The trailer itself opens with King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) who says, “the road ahead is full of uncertainty, but the ending is very clear.” This sentence may refer to the perspective of a Targaryen. Where since the first time the clan was founded, they never stopped fighting for power and glory.
There’s a lot of fighting going on in the trailer. Starting from the battle while riding a horse, which is quite common in the Game of Thrones universe. Until a battle involving many giant dragons. Where their fire breath managed to crush humans, both friend and foe, whether on cliffs, on land, or in the ocean. There is nothing untouched by the dragon rider Targaryen and his dragons. Looking at the quality of the trailer, it looks like House of the Dragon will be much more exciting than Game of Thrones season 1.
