First released in 2019, Knives Out is one of the original detective films that is quite popular with fans. In the hands of Rian Johnson, this film focuses on the character of Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig), a crime scene investigator or detective who specializes in murder cases. Where in his first film he managed to uncover the murder case of Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer). Thanks to the success of the first film, later this year Netflix will soon release a sequel.
Officially titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, this sequel film will again involve the crew and veteran cast. Including Rian Johnson who returns to act as director and screenwriter. For the cast itself, actor Daniel Craig will definitely reprise his role as Detective Blanc. Other confirmed actors include Edward Norton as Miles Bron. With Kathryn Hahn, Jessica Henwick, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista and Ethan Hawke.
Netflix Reveals Next Benoit Blanc Case
A few months after announcing the sequel, Netflix has just released the first photos from the film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. In the photo above, Detective Blanc is seen attending a lavish funeral for the characters who are still mysterious. Not long after releasing this photo, Netflix also finally gave fans an idea of the next Blanc case, through a synopsis of the film that seems to be related to the photo above. Check out the official synopsis below:
“If Knives Out has told about murders related to flesh and blood (family). Glass Onion will be a good case that can make us wary of close friends. When tech millionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites his closest and loved ones to a private island in Greece. It would quickly reveal that not everything in heaven is perfect. And when someone dies, who could be better at peeling away layers of intrigue than [Detective] Blanc?”
Based on this official synopsis, now we can at least know that the characters in Glass Onion’s first photo are Miles Bron’s friends. It is still not revealed who will die this time. Even so, it is certain that a murder will occur and the culprit will be among the characters later. The excitement of the mystery from the film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will soon be available to us on Netflix on December 23.
